Rabbi David Gruber
Affiliation: Humanist Society
I am a native of Evanston, Illinois, and an eighth generation rabbi. I grew up in Israel, where I served as a tank gunner in the IDF Armored Corps, attended Yeshivat Sha’alvim, one of the most prominent institutions of higher Jewish learning in Israel, for seven years, and received my rabbinic ordination from the Chief Rabbis of Israel. I hold a B.A. in History from Thomas Edison State College, and an M.S. in Educational Leadership from Walden University.
I have served in educational and religious leadership positions in the Jewish community on three continents since my teens, specifically in Israel, New Zealand and the United States.
Though I used to be Orthodox, I now see myself as a Jewish secular humanist. I am ordained as a Humanist Minister by the Humanist Society. As such I deeply believe in helping every couple make the most out of the most wonderful day of their lives.

Zachary Moore, PhD
Affiliation: Universal Life Church
I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, where I was raised in a Reformed Christian home. I eventually left that tradition and was baptized and confirmed in the Roman Catholic Church, although I later became a freethinking atheist and secular humanist.
I became ordained as a secular celebrant to officiate at my cousin's wedding. Since then I have been asked to officiate on several occasions for couples who are members of DFWCoR groups. I have also been involved in organizing memorial services for individuals within the DFWCoR who have passed away. I truly appreciate the opportunity to be involved in the secular community during these important life moments.
My goal, no matter what the occasion, is to work as closely as possible with the people involved to make sure that their values and wishes are respected.
